Chukwuemeka Obi's hat-trick at MKO Abiola Stadium sealed a dominant win that extends Zoomax FC Lagos's lead at the top of the Championship table.
Chukwuemeka Obi was the undeniable star of the show as Zoomax FC Lagos delivered a masterclass performance in Abeokuta, crushing Ogun United 3-0 to extend their lead at the summit of the Zoomax Football Championship 2026.
The striker, who arrived at the club on the back of a stellar first half of the season, completed a perfect hat-trick — left foot, right foot, and header — in a display that had scouts, coaches, and fans on their feet from the first whistle.
Kayode Hassan was barely tested between the posts but was commanding throughout, sweeping up a series of long balls with authority. The 3-0 scoreline could easily have been six on another day.
Speaking after the game, head coach Emmanuel Adeyemi said: 'Performances like this are what we have been building towards. The team is cohesive, confident, and Emeka is in the form of his life.'
Zoomax FC's next fixture is a testing away trip to Kano Eagles — a ground they have not won at in three attempts.
